I am delighted to take up the position of poet in residence at The Chocolate Poetry Club in London. It is exciting to be part of what is happening in Camberwell, which I know will be bubbling over and beyond. Many thanks to all Chocolate Poetry lovers and to Paul for believing. xxx

Hello friends of CPC,

Over the next few months we will be making some changes around here starting with the creation of a new panel of resident poets, a title we will be awarding to writers, readers and supremely talented creations that nurture and inspire others at the club.

Many who have been to one of our magic carpet shows will distinctly recognise the face (or poetry) of Myriam Word Maker; based in Bournemouth, Dorset she comes to CPC month after month and against all odds and is an inspiration to me personally.

Today we officially welcome Myriam as our first resident poet at The Chocolate Poetry Club, and subsequently you may well see her co-hosting along side myself too. We also took a moment to write a few words about her...

"Myriam's writing will gently take you by the hand whilst arresting you at the ears. Her words, enveloped with charm, can both hurt and heal. Her narratives unfold like citrus laced with honey, in boiling water. Skillfully careening a serrated edge slalom of linguistic fireworks and bolt upright real life subjects, her work is as courageous as it is unashamed."
